Our Harvesting (slaughter,
processing & marketing) business unit was established in 2010 and
represents that next step in AgFeed’s efforts to deploy a fully
integrated hog production system. Our system will range from the
manufacture of safe and highest quality nutrition products for the hog
industry, to the most modern and efficient breeding operations, to
highly efficient state of the art processing facilities.
We plan to develop harvest facilities
to process the hogs that will be produced at our Dahua and Xinyu
production pods. The opening of these facilities and their scale will
be planned to meet the production output of our farms in Dahua and
Xinyu. We believe that long-term, each of our Dahua and Xinyu
production pods will have the capacity to support a dedicated
slaughter/processing facility. This production capacity will be ideally
located to serve the growing urban markets of southeastern China.
